This book is specifically designed to help those preparing for the B1 Italian examinations for obtaining Italian citizenship, whichever exam board is chosen (e.g. CELI, CILS). With a clear layout, colourful presentation and answers included, this book is ideal for use in the classroom and for independent study.

The volume proposes 10 tests based on the content and structure of the official examinations, offers strategies for facing the exam and a special final section which focusses specifically on writing practice. Much attention is given to grammatical structures, to which a recurring section is dedicated, and to vocabulary expansion.

STRUCTURE

First part: strategies, examples and suggestions for understanding the format and delivery of the tests.

Second part: 10 tests (with audio tracks and answers). The tests also contain insights into grammatical structures, discursive signals and lexicon featured in the B1-level syllabus.

Third part: a workshop for practising written production through a guided tour of formal and informal e-mail exercises.
