Buon lavoro - L'italiano per le professioni

Buon lavoro - L'italiano per le professioni

This series of textbooks aims to develop A2 level language skills necessary for interacting in various professional contexts, for promoting "made in Italy" products and for welcoming Italian people abroad.

Each volume deals with a different area (such as the care profession, food and catering, and the tourism-hotel sector). The communicative approach based on lexical, visual and fun teaching methods helps learners acquire the language needed to work in these specific fields, whether dealing with managers, colleagues or the public. Particular emphasis is placed on memory techniques, including multimedia-assisted learning.

Each volume is composed of 3 thematic modules, each divided into 5 short units. The units include:

- text and images for pre-reading, brain-storming and general comprehension.

- activities on the text and analysis of language structures via discovery techniques.

- activities coupled with grammar grids.

- vocabulary (useful words and sentences followed by their English translations) together with instructions for a memory game to be played with the flash-cards provided.

- 2 pages of flash cards for double-sided photocopying, featuring nine images corresponding to nine words and phrases relating to each unit.

The volume comes complete with 20 pages of level A2 final tests with answer keys. Accompanying audio material is accessible online along with transcripts, solutions to the exercises, teacher's guides and didactic resources, and an Italian-English glossary.
