Eserciziari per anglofoni: problemi ed errori di interferenza
Eserciziari per anglofoni: problemi ed errori di interferenza

Designed specifically for English speakers, these practical workbooks concentrate on the Italian structures that anglophone students in particular find difficult to master. Often the most common mistakes and grammatical errors are due to an interference of the mother-tongue language; the main objective of these books is to help students eradicate these mistakes and to avoid using English as a bridge to Italian. Each book uses authentic literary and giornalistic texts on a range of topics to present particular aspects of the Italian language in context. The texts are followed by numerous short exercises on vocabulary and grammar, short translation exercises, and helpful contrastive explanations.
"Punti critici" is designed primarily for beginners and near beginners (CEFR levels A1-A2) but underlines grammatical aspects that can prove difficult even for students at level B1.
"Italiano e inglese allo specchio" is aimed at intermediate to advanced level students (levels B1-C1).
The books are now complemented by a new video series dedicated to English speakers learning Italian. Luca, the protagonist, has lived in London for three years and in that time has grown tired and annoyed by certain aspects of his native language. So he visits a therapist and starts to tell his story... The four-part series "Tutto colpa dell'italiano" is accessible free of charge via the publisher's online webTV.
