Via del Corso
Via del Corso

Authors: Pierangela Diadori Telis Marin
Structured around a story - an intriguing comic-noir - this highly-motivating innovative course makes learning Italian simple, enjoyable, and effective.
The story, which is set in various Italian cities, unfolds through alternate episodes of a video series and short chapters of a graphic novel. Offering complete versatility, the sitcom can also be listened to in the style of a radio drama on the accompanying CD, while the DVD provides animated versions of the comic strips, providing a truly diverse and engaging learning and teaching experience. The video series and graphic novel are fully integrated into the course, along with original cultural videos, all of which present practical and idiomatic language in an authentic contemporary context.
The systematic course structure promotes gradual progression in grammar, vocabulary and communicative functions. The variety of multimedia, games and interactive activities maintains interest and encourages students to communicate effectively from the outset as they watch the story unfold.
The course is complemented by a range of online resources including an interactive version of the exercise sections, a digital version of the student's books, progress tests, games, MP3 versions of the audio tracks (which can be played either at natural speaking-pace or at a slower pace to aid comprehension and intonation), videos and multilingual glossaries.
In addition, a new boxed card game "Gioco di società" is also available to support the teaching of the course at each level.
Provisional publication dates of the further levels as follows: Intermediate B1 - Summer 2019, Upper Intermediate B2 - Summer 2020.
